I decided to sign up for the “Channel Ten 1 Million Kilo Challenge”. I’m not really sure how useful this will be but it’s free so why not?
My profile page or diary is here (more for my benefit than anyone else’s).

2012 ~ Week 1: Third Time Lucky?
Posted: January 6, 2012 in Progress Reports, Health StrategiesTags: weight loss, third time lucky, low carbs
Well, I’m now into my 3rd year of this blog and “health kick” …maybe it’ll be a case of “third time lucky”? Anyway, the new year is off to a slightly better start than previous attempts with a weight loss of 1.1 kg and 5.5 cm in only 5 days! Yay me!

2011 ~ Week 44: Trick or TREAT! …the aftermath
Posted: November 4, 2011 in Progress Reports, WitchcraftTags: Beltane, feeding frenzy, Halloween, halloween goodies, halloween party, rumpus room, Samhain
Well, um, what can I say? I severely stuffed my weight “loss” (and my face) this past week on Halloween goodies …and it’s not even the “real” Halloween here in Australia anyway …just the commercially driven superficial candyfest that happens on 31st October without any consideration (or knowledge in most cases) of the cross-cultural and seasonal origins of this celebration/festival/holiday(holyday)/sabbat. See Halloween, Samhain & Beltane in Australia on my main blog if you don’t know what I’m talking about. Read the rest of this entry »
Well, this week is not so bad as I’ve actually lost 700 grams …YAY!
But, when you look at the big picture it’s really quite pathetic. The overall trend on my weight loss graph is going the wrong way!

Last Quarter Moon
Posted: August 22, 2011 in Progress ReportsTags: last quarter moon, lunation, new moon., outmoded patterns, phase of the moon, quarter phase, weightloss
Last quarter moon but not last chance. Only good thing is that I haven’t gained any weight. Feeling rather depressed and despondent about a number of other things today, one in particular which I’d rather not go into here (or anywhere online for that matter). Anyway, just felt I should post something for the sake of putting up a picture of the last quarter phase of the moon to complete the set.

Well, it’s only 2 days away from the full moon and today is my usual weigh in day. Not doing quite as well as I’d hoped. Here’s the list of excuses… Read the rest of this entry »
First Quarter Moon
Posted: August 6, 2011 in Lunar Phases & Diet, Progress Reports, RamblingTags: full moon, lunar week, soup, weightloss
It’s the end of my first “lunar week” and I’ve lost 400 grams. Yay! …small success but about right for “sensible” weightloss. The tiny little 1.5cm I lost is hardly worth mentioning but so far so good.
Hopefully by Full Moon I’ll have lost even more. Time to make another batch of soup too …I ate the last of the first batch today.
A Lunar Approach
Posted: August 1, 2011 in Health Strategies, Lunar Phases & Diet, Progress Reports, WitchcraftTags: lunar phase, moon in virgo, weightloss
It’s the first of the month and the day after the New Moon, so it’s the perfect time to start over again. Each phase of the moon brings with it a special energy for that lunar cycle. The time of the New Moon, until the Full Moon is called “waxing”. Read the rest of this entry »
2011 ~ Week 30: New Moon, New Beginning
Posted: July 30, 2011 in Progress ReportsTags: weight gain, weight loss failure
Well, I’m still here, still plodding along, weighing myself every Friday morning. Results are crap as I’m steadily gaining weight rather than losing (see depressing graph below). But, not one to give up totally I’m hoping to get my act together again. Like the title says… New Moon, New Beginning …so now is the time to turn things around and move forward instead of backward! (New Moon is at 4:39am tomorrow.) Read the rest of this entry »
The healthy rate at which to lose weight will differ from person to person but the general recommendation is to lose a maximum of 450 grams (1 pound) per week. Weight loss is not supposed to be fast and easy. If you take the time to lose weight there is a much bigger chance of a healthy success and maintenance of weight in the future.
(From http://www.healthnetwork.com.au/weight-loss/fast-weight-loss.asp)
I must keep this in mind when I get disappointed about not losing very much weight each week!
Well, here I am, back at it again. The first week of 2011 wasn’t so great, with a gain of 300g (on top of all the gains in the weeks prior) but during the second week I’ve managed to lose 500g and 4.5cm …yay me! Read the rest of this entry »

It’s almost Dark Moon and my weightloss lunation plan has kinda gone to shit. I’ve definitely reached a plateau with my weight — same weight for the last four weeks — but the sad, pathetic thing is, that weight is heavier than when I first started trying to lose weight! BUGGER, BUGGER, BUGGER!!!!!!
